A Million Plants Please

On 22 April 2024, Mi Equipment (M) Sdn. Bhd. (“Mi Equipment Malaysia”) had participated in the program “Planting One Million Trees Within a Day in conjunction with Earth Day 2024”, an event organized by Penang Governor’s Charity Foundation to engage employees in hands-on conservation efforts. This initiative was to conserve the Penang state biodiversity and mitigate the impact of climate change. By planting trees, we could restore and protect the natural ecosystems, bring greenery to the community, and improve environmental, social and economic sustainability.

Mi Equipment Malaysia always advocates Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices to inspire employees with practical actions. A total of 22 employees from Mi Equipment Malaysia volunteered to participate the tree planting program - A Million Plants Please. With a shared sense of purpose, all volunteers had the opportunity to contribute their time and effort towards the noble cause.

Tree planting program is part of our commitment towards environmental sustainability, as we believe in the importance of preserving nature. 200 plants were planted along the front perimeter of Mi Equipment Malaysia on this day. This program not only contributed to environmental conservation but also strengthened the bond and teamwork among employees.
